Buy yarn for Christchurch - last day!

I have six listings of handspun yarn on Trade Me - and today is the last day of the auction.

The proceeds will be split evenly between Aviva (Christchurch Women's Refuge) and the Christchurch City Mission.

I themed some of the yarns around the Canterbury colours, and I thank Kate from Heavenly Wools very much for her donation of some gorgeous red and black merino.

Spinning for Canterbury

For next couple of months all my spinning will be for course-work (yay for Creative Fibre), or going towards Canterbury earthquake fundraising efforts. 

I'll donate my last skeins to Handmade for Christchurch, then start spinning some more for a local fundraising dinner and auction, using fibre that I'm buying from various small Canterbury craft businesses. (Going by the principle that another way to support the region is by helping to keep money flowing into the grassroots economy.)

Argot Bazaar was off to a slow start anyway, as we moved house soon after I started it up, but I hope to be back and selling here with new vigour in mid-May.

Alternative ways to trade

I have Argot Bazaar craft supplies listed on the Wellington region section of the Community Exchange System (CES) website.

So if you're in or near Wellington, and have signed up (or want to) with the CES here - I'm just as happy to trade using these 'green dollars' as with ordinary money.
